Ring‐Making Casting Workshop — Pick out some Beach glass, Create a Custom Ring

Join us for an immersive lostwax casting experience where you’ll design and craft a metal ring set with a beachglass or crystal of your choosing.

What to Expect

• Stone Selection: Begin by choosing a beautiful natural piece of beach glass or crystal from our collection. You are also welcome to bring a few SMALL favorite pieces from your private collection we can review to see if they will work. 

• Metal Choice: Select your metal from brass to sterling silver

• Wax Selection: You will be provided with a variety of pieces of wax to form into a ring and to encase your beachglass or crystal in to wax and then we will cast the glass in place.

• Hands‑On Crafting: Guided by our instructors you will form the wax, then invest the piece and then cast the piece. Then finally, you will polish and finish your piece to perfection.

• Collaborative Learning: You will complete approximately 100% of the work yourself; the remainder is professionally handled by the instructor to ensure quality while optimizing silver use and safety.

Who Is This For?

• All skill levels — no prior experience needed

• Guests as young as under‑13 to adults over‑65 are welcome

• Perfect for dates, birthday celebrations, groups, or solo creative time

• Duration: Approximately 6 – 8 hours of guided experience

What to Bring

• Refillable Water Bottle and small packaged snacks

• Bring a sack lunch

• Reading glasses if needed for close‑work. We will have magnifying visor.

• Optional: your own beachglass or crystal—for safety, we’ll inspect it first, and if accepted additional fees may apply based on size etc. 

What You’ll Learn

• Selecting and prepping a stone and creating a wax bezel

• Basic wax work, thin band, wax decoration, sprueing calculating metals

• Light Torch use for casting, instructor can do based on your comfort level

• Polishing and finishing touches

• Safe tool use and studio best practices
